So why do we think Huwaei mate book d14 is a great mate for you? Here we give you some reasons.
Design And Looks
At first glance, the MateBook D 14 looks like an ultra-premium laptop that won’t seem off-putting in the same place as the MacBook Pro. Huawei MateBook D14 is constructed from an aluminum alloy, and outside it’s only got only the Huawei branding on the front. The USB-C charging port to the left permits the device to be charged with every USB charger. Other ports include two USB3 combined with a 3.5-millimeter headphone/microphone socket.
When the lid is opened, it shows the most pleasing minimalist design. It comes with an edge-to-edge, full HD 1920 x 1080 14-inch IPS display and a comfortable and simple keyboard with good spacing between keys and a huge touchpad.
One unique design feature is the location of the webcam. It is hidden beneath a pop-up button between the F6 and F7 keys on the keyboard. Although this layout provides excellent security, some users have complained that the camera angle isn’t ideal since it faces upwards at the user rather than straight ahead.

Since it’s a workhorse laptop, we tried it with various professional software, including Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Pro. The Laptop could edit the video in Adobe Photoshop well. It took around 12 to 13 minutes to render the video in 4K with 24 FPS, which is quite impressive.
In terms of gaming, it is clear that the MateBook is more efficient than many laptops with no dedicated GPU. That’s because it comes with Vega 8 graphics that will let it play the latest games but with a lower frame rate and higher resolution.
It is a thin and compact laptop. Because of the smaller interior space and the reduced thermal capacity, this Laptop Huawei MateBook D14’s performance is average. The temperature remained between 43 and 43 degrees Celsius in normal usage, which climbed to 100 degrees Celsius during intense use. However, the fans did not generate any distracting sound.
The Huawei MateBook D14 is equipped with 56 WH of battery capacity that can provide up to eight hours of battery life (with moderate use with 50% brightness.)
The Laptop comes with an energy-efficient power brick of 65W and a USB-C cable that can charge the Laptop from zero up to 100% within about 1.5 hours.
When the battery is used for a long time, its performance could decrease slightly. However, the overall efficiency of the MateBook D14 is good considering the size of the battery it comes with.
Some Other Features
The latest Huawei laptops feature an exciting feature that lets them automatically connect with smartphones compatible with the feature called “Huawei Share.” It allows for a seamless connection to ensure that the phone’s display is replicated on the Laptop, and data are easily shared without the need to go through the lengthy process every time. The compatibility is currently restricted by Huawei or Honor phones.
